In turbulent times filled with economic, societal and political challenges, one tends to look for “heroes” when searching for solutions, fresh visions and innovative ideas. Typically it is heads of state, corporate CEOs, and startup, busi-ness or social entrepreneurs that are looked upon as sources of hope.
Yet what if potentially anyone and everyone working within large and complex organizations – such as major companies, municipalities, ministries, civil society organizations, media, academic or public sector institutions – became the new drivers of innovation and economic and social change? Even more importantly, how can complex organizations create enabling environments to identify, en-courage and promote such “intrapreneurs”?
To discuss and co-create ideas around this and related topics, the BMW Foundation, in partnership with Ashoka, will bring together a cross-sectoral group of 45 selected high-profile leaders between the age of 30 and 45 from the Mediterranean region in Istanbul in May 2014. In an atmosphere of collaboration, participants, speakers and partners of the Forum will have the opportunity to connect on a personal and professional level, to network, and to learn from and with one another.
Delighted to participate in the Forum as a Speaker and as a Workshop host, presenting the model of the Social Mutual Fund and talking in the “building a smart administration – how public officials, political parties and organisations can become a driver for social innovation” panel.
